Whalers Hope To Foil Gamblers Perfect Season

Same old song and dance, the Gamblers remain undefeated and some unlucky team will get blown out with visions of grandeur on their minds. The Gamblers have taken all three meetings this season by a combined score of 24-10. The Whalers are coming off a huge 8-6 win over the #2 Brewers, scoring five goals in the third for the win. The Gamblers took a dominant 5-0 win over the Nordiques before the Nords goalie was injured and the game was called. There is no reason to believe that this game won't follow the same pattern...Gamblers win 10-5.

Whalers Play Tough, But Gamblers 4 Goal Third Delivers

The Gamblers improved to an impressive 17-0-0 with a 7-4 win over the Whalers. Powered by a hat trick from player/coach/GM/team masseuse Willy \"Mighty Mouse\" Meyer. The Whalers put up a good fight, carrying a 2-2 tie deep into the second period and heading to the third period down by just one goal. But the dream team Gamblers did what they do, and what they do so well...breaking away in the third period and crushing the dreams of yet another team hoping to ruin the Gamblers bid for a perfect season. Meyer got things started on his first shift, just 71 seconds into the game from linemates Marc \"The Narc\" Gattie and Matty \"The Milkman\" Marrazzo. The Whalers got a pair of their goals from Joe \"Gaudy\" Gaudet, sandwiching a Gambler goal from Jason \"Slapshot\" Young which had to come on a Happy Gilmour type wind-up that surely whistled by a few chins and into the upper corner. Marrazzo put the Gamblers up for good with an unassisted goal late in the second. Ryan Bergeron and Ryan LaCroix added a goal each just 34 seconds apart in the eighth minute of the third period followed by a Whaler goal on the power play from Jay Zanleoni. Meyer completed his hat trick with a shorty and even strength goals and the rout was on. The Whaler\'s \"Trcky\" Nicky Hall added a late goal to close out the game at 7-4.
