Leafs get Hogg-Coaked and Smoked 10-3 on 4/20!
When the dog is away the cats will play, isn't that the expression? Well the Smoke Eaters brought in a ringer from St. Lawrence listed as Adam Hogg on the gamesheet, whoever the fuck that is (just joking there, puck-Hoggmeister!), and he lit up the scoreboard against the Leafs with Coakley in tow. JT said that Hogg actually backchecked and was better than Sinclair and Coakley combined! Wouldn't it have been more fair if he played for the Leafs instead? Acting Co-Commish for the night Kelly Park also suited up for the already stacked Smoke Eaters. Did you get Hogg's UVHL and USA Hockey waivers signed Kelly? Somehow they weren't in the folder when you gave it back to me...so thanks so much for covering our collective asses while I was in Montreal. Great job, Kelly, and even better write-ups, too! Oh yeah, you didn't even frickin' do them either, I'm doing them right now for your lazy ass AND the playoff stats aren't done yet! Well, its nice to know that you're earning your webmaster fees from all your prompt hard work. Remember that your stats don't count for this game traitor! Yes, I'm half joking here fellas, no big whoop. Kelly does a great job (some of the time...and a barely adequate job the rest of the time...) and enjoys receiving ball busting as much as he loves dishing it out. I also heard it from Casavant himself that he approved the subs to play even though they shellaqued the Leafs. Phil Grover subbed in for Kenny in the Leafs net and reported to me in Montreal that it was a fun game to go up against that level of talent even though it meant a 10.00 GAA, and that it heled warm him up for the tourney with the Northstars on Ste. Catherine's Street, uh, I mean at the 4 Rinks in Brossard (that's our stroy and we're sticking to it!). Maybe I was just a little too harsh on the rookie UVHL refs in the last write-up since the Leafs got yet another Too Many Men penalty in this game. Tony and Carl were quite thorough in giving out second assists in this game, and there weren't even any "unassisted" goals either. Here is the game summary:
