The Hartford, Vermont-based Potter Construction team has had the core of the roster intact for several years. Mostly a Sunday Night pick-up group, this talented team of 20 and 30-somethings is one of the very best men's league hockey teams in the Upper Valley and has finally joined the UVHL for its 2006 spring "Mud League". Captained by Matt Potter and organized/GM'd by Justin Barwood, this unit plays extremely well as a team, and has no weak links. Their solid goaltending is bolstered by a stellar defensive unit and scary offense of three balanced forward lines. Potter is the defending 2005 and 2006 Mud League champs, and defeated (perhaps) the very best Upper Valley men's league team in recent history, Murphy's, in an incredible 4-3 OT game last March at Campion Rink to exorcise their demons of almost becoming the Buffalo Bills of the Mud League with 3 consecutive championship game losses in 2002 through 2004. We welcome Potter Construction to the UVHL's spring Mud League and hope that they will be a UVHL powerhouse for many years to come.
