Tonight the Gamblers absolutely routed Dead River by double digits....oh, shit....I mean tonight the #1 Gamblers face off against #6 Dead River in a true David versus Goliath. In two games this season the Gamblers have outscored DR 21-1. The Gamblers are an astonishing 100 on goal differential with 131 goals scored and 31 goals against, while Dead River is a league-worst -48 with just 37 goals scored and 85 against in 14 games played. Dead River has rocked a short bench all season, and even tend to keep games interesting through a period or two before collapsing into a chasm of exhaustion. If they hope to keep this game close they will need to recruit a full roster for tonight, and focus on team defense. Gamblers will run up the score. 12-1

The Gamblers have done it again, coasting to their fifteenth consecutive win this season with a shutout thrashing of Dead River. Willy \"Weeble\" Meyer was the spark-plug yet again with another hat-trick, five points, first star and Player Of the Week nomination. Despite only seeing 18 shots, Jeremy \"The Seed\" Seidling was the 2nd star of the game, because a shutout in a Men\'s league game is an impressive feat. Seidling wasn\'t busy, but was awake or at least in position for all 18 shots. With the loss of Dan Ammel for the season, defenseman Marc \"The Narc\" Gattie was moved up to the top line with Meyer and Matty \"The Milkman\" Marrazzo. Gattie has fit in nicely, adding five points tonight on a goal and four helpers to go with Meyers 5 points and Marrazzo\'s 4 points. The second line for the Gambler\'s was also productive with Allison \"Captain Hook\" Malcolm centering Topo \"Thing 1\" LaCroix and Ryan \"Thing 2\" LaCroix. The trio combined for a pair of goals and four assists. The G-Men made it look easy, scoring three goals in each period en route to the win. They dominated 45 minutes and earned the win.

Shot counter. Feb 6th, 2012 01:18 PM Whoever thought they were counting shots was a bit off. Conversation between Greg and I on Thursday: G - So how many shots did you see the other night, be honest. J - Ahh, I think 3? Maybe? G - Ha, I was thinking 4 or 5. J - Hmm, split the difference and go with 4? Bored out of my mind, that game sucked. I will the second star to the Big Topo / Little Topo two headed monster.
