Hot Gamblers look to Roll over Tuck
| ODDS: | Gamblers By 12 |
| OVER/UNDER: | 15 Goals |
The Gamblers have scored a record 21 goals to start the season, and don't look like they are about to slow down facing the Tuckies this week. With an 11-3 blowout of the Nordiques in week 1 followed by a 10-4 beat down of the Whalers, the Gamblers should put up back to back to back double digit goals.
Give the Tuckies some credit though, they are smart. If they can figure out a way to shut down the top line of Marrazzo-Meyer-Ammel, they could keep the score respectable. The 2nd & 3rd lines for the Gamblers have only contributed 2 of their teams 21 goals.
The Tuckies squeaked out a 6-4 win in week one over the winless Dead River Rats, followed by a tough 11-2 loss to the Nordiques who lost 11-3 to the Gamblers. Tuck was missing 5 key players last week who would have made a difference.
This is a tough one to call, just how many goals will the Gamblers score? My guess is a 13-2 win.
Gamblers Run Away with another one, beat Tuck 10-2
The Gamblers ran up the score for the third straight game to open the season, this week\'s victim was Tuck in a 10-2 thrashing. The Gambler\'s top line was on fire again, contributing 7 of their teams 10 goals and tallying 16 points on the night. Leading the way was Matty \"Girl Legs\" Marrazzo with 2 goals and 5 assists, as he danced around the Tuckies like a veteran pole dancer. Willy \"Weeble Wobble\" Meyer had a nice night himself with 4 goals and an assist and Danny \"The Danimal\" Ammel added a goal and 3 assists.
Tuck was a bit shorthanded and required the assistance of 3 Nordique players to help fill out their roster, unfortunately they weren\'t much of a help. The Gamblers jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first frame with Meyer netting a pair, followed by his BFF Marrazzo, Gattie and then Meyer\'s BBFW4WBJF Ammel. Gattie was tall tonight.
The Gamblers got another solid goaltending performance out of Jeremy \"The Seed\" Seidling and won his 3rd game of the season...in defense of all goaltenders, I\'m pretty sure a paper bag could have started the season 3-0 if it were to play with the Gamblers.
The G-Men built their lead to 8-0 with 3 more unanswered goals in the second behind rookie defenseman Ryan Bergeron and another pair of goals from Meyer. Tuck finally got on the board with 18 seconds to play on a Phil Lacombe goal from Josh Cherney.
Tuck looked like they were about to mount a comeback when the made it 8-2 less than 3 minutes into the 3rd period. It was Tuck Captain Colin \"Carbomb\" Carrahill who netted the big goal for Tuck, but the Gamblers finished the period adding a pair of goals from Marrazzo and rookie blueliner Nick \"The Stick\" MacDonald.
The Gamblers are disgustingly good, if teams don\'t learn to play them defensively, they are going to continue to rack up goals at this unprecedented pace. The scary thing is that they are finally seeing production from the rest of their lineup.
