This game was the most anticipated game of the night as #1 Ramuntos took on #2 Tuck. Ramuntos has come into the league this year as retooled team and playing very well from the start, whereas Tuck has some new faces but has been playing very well lately. The games started out with back and forth action as each team was trying to get the game"s first goal. Tuck was able to get the first goal at 11:56 from Johnny Mathias who buried the puck from the slot on a pass from Spencer Vaughn. Ramuntos was able to tie the game up at 9:59 as Greg Hadley scored a power play goal from the slot on a pass from Justin Lawrence. Tuck took two more penalties in the first period but they were able to kill them off as this was Rosen"s busiest period of the night with 12 saves most on them coming on the power play. The second period saw both teams coming out conservative as neither team wanted to give up the next goal. Ramuntos was able to grab the lead at 10:29 on a goal from Sophie Leclerc who was able to put the puck in the back of the net on a scrum after Rosen made two saves but Tuck couldn"t clear the rebounds. Just 30 seconds after going up Ramuntos took their first penalty of four on the night. About a minute into the power play Tuck was able to get a PP goal from Brandon Harrington who beat Tazzi low blocker side from the slot, Jed McDonald set this one up from his hard work in the corner before hitting Harrington with a tape to tape pass. Tuck seemed to gain some momentum from this PP goal and kept pressuring Ramuntos. Jed McDonald gave Tuck the lead at 7:30 in the second as he picked up the puck off a turnover in his defensive end, he skated it down the side boards and as he entered the zone was one on one with the d, he let a shot go through the D"s legs and beat Tazzi high glove side for the lead. Tuck continued to keep the pressure on as they scored again with a 1:53 left in the period, another PP goal this time from Marcus Widell who let a nice shot go from the point to beat Tazzi glove side high. Tuck seems to have full control of the game now as they are up 4-2 with just less than two minutes left, both penalties that Ramuntos has taken this period has ended up in a goal for Tuck. Tuck continues to play hard until the period is over and they are rewarded with their 5th goal with just 3 seconds left in the period. Will Collins put the puck past Tazzi with a shot from the slot after being set up by McDonald and Harrington. The third period didn"t have any scoring as Ramuntos took two more penalties but Tuck was unable to get another puck past Tazzi as he made 15 saves in the third and a total of 37 for the game. Tazzi played lights out and gave his team a chance to stay in the game but Ramuntos seemed to get out of sync after giving up a four goals in the second. Tuck coasted in the third to a 5-2 win.
