Whalers Look To Wipe Slate Clean Against Tuck
| ODDS: | Tuck By 6 Goals |
| OVER/UNDER: | 12 Goals |
The Whalers hit a season low last week when they lost 2-1 to the winless Dead River squad. In Dead River's defense, they played a pretty solid game, but the only goal for the Whalers came on the penalty kill when Dead River's goalie tried making a long pass from his own zone and hit his own player in the back and bouncing on the stick of a Whaler all alone with no goalie around.
The Whalers need to be better tonight if they are going to keep this one close against the Tuckies who throttled the top-ranked Gamblers 7-0 last week. Tuck looked like a well oiled machine last week giving the 9-1-0 Gamblers only their second loss of the year and improving to 9-1-0 themselves. Brandon "Hairball" Harrington was on fire with 4 goals and Jed "Old" McDonald contributed with 5 assists.
Tuck has scored more than twice as many goals as the Whalers this year(74 to 35 goals scored) and let up almost a third(20 to 54 goals allowed). They're better in almost every category except they have racked up 59 penalty minutes to the Whalers 49.
Tuck should walk through the Whalers tonight unless the Whalers pull back and play defense first, protecting their end and their goaltender. Vegas puts this one at 9-3 in favor of the Tuckerdoodles.
