Game 3 in the Gamblers & Tuck saga. The first two games were a split with Tuck winning 3-2 in the first game and the Gamblers throttling Tuck 6-3 in game 2. That second game wasn't indicative of how good Tuck is and the top two teams in the UVHL should battle to a 1 goal game tonight. Tuck is powered by Mike "Wine & Dine" Devine(3.22gaa, 7-2-0 record) and Brandon "The Harry One" Harrington(18-8-26 pts in 9 GP). The Gamblers have 6 players in the top 20 in scoring and have 4 players with over 20 points on the young season. The MMA line of(Matty "The Milkman" Marrazzo(14-11-25), Willy "Mighty Mouse" Meyer(11-14-25) and Dan "The Danimal" Ammel(9-11-20) have been dominant, but their second line has also been causing fits for their opponents. Ryan "Thing 2" LaCroix(13-8-21) and his brother Topo "Thing 1" LaCroix(6-12-18) have been down right awesome with either Marc "The Narc" Gattie(3-7-10) or Allison "Captain Hook" Malcolm(3-5-8). Between the pipes for the Gamblers is Ryan "Van Awesome" Van Schoik who leads the league in GAA & Wins. This will be an interesting game since the Gamblers lost Willy Meyer last week to a dirty play that gave him a concussion. Regardless, of the last game where the Gamblers roughed up Tuck, and even without Meyer the Gamblers are too deep and should pull out the win. It will be up to Devine to keep his team in this game. Gamblers Win 5-4.

Devine Shuts Out Gamblers, Tuck Wins 4-0

The Tuckies...and Mike \"Wine & Dine\" Devine have done something that has never been done before and most believed would never happen, they shutout the high powered Gamblers in a 4-0 win. Devine was downright filthy good as he made 46 saves and kept his team in this game as they were almost outshot 2-1. Both teams were without a superstar as the Gamblers were missing Willy \"Mighty Mouse\" Meyer to a concussion and Tuck was missing Brandon \"The Harry One\" Harrington as well. The loss of those two offensive juggernauts offset each other and the stage was set for a game between the top two teams in the UVHL. Tuck jumped out to a 2-0 lead early and didn\'t look back. They collapsed, played solid team defense and let Devine work his magic much to the enjoyment of his cheering squad \"The Deviniacs\" in the stands. The Gamblers looked a little bit lost without their leader, Meyer.

NOTE - Tuck playing without Harrington & McCafferty

TCK 1-0 : Breakaway pass to Wannop, snapper from the hashmarks blocker side under the crossbar

TCK 2-0 : Garbage goal, jammed home a rebound after a couple of saves.

NOTE - 4 minutes left in the period and it\'s starting to get physical.

NOTE - 1:22 left in the second, Van Schoik shuts the door on McCafferty on a breakaway. Save and then saves the rebound.

TCK 3-0 : Seely chips the puck up the boards for Mellen down the far boards. Mellen breaks in on a 2 on 1 on his off wing, looks pass, Van Schoik goes down and he roofs it over him glove side under the crossbar. Great goal.

NOTE : Devine makes a NASTY save down low with traffic in front of him, the only way to describe it would be...The Rabid Turtle Save. He aggressively went at the shooter and did some sort of King Koopa Turtle roll kicking the puck out of the air in the process. Maybe it should be called Master Turtle KungFu Kick Save.

NOTE : A combination of exhaustion and complacency has Tuck icing the puck frequently in the last 4 minutes of play. Their winning, they don\'t care.
