Cardigan has thumped Dead River twice this season by a combined score of 22-10. Remarkably, Dead River scored 7 goals in their last meeting only to see Cardigan score 12. Cardigan has had an up and down season, but this should be a cake-walk. Hopefully Dead River can muster enough guys for their roster to make it interesting. Cardigan has had some issues with their roster as well. Dead River finally got their first win of the season after starting 0-10-0...but the win came on a Tuck forfeit after they couldn't field a team while on winter break. Cardigan's Owen Carpino should tear through Dead River, scoring 6 or 7 goals and putting this game in the rear view mirror. Cardigan wins 9-2.

Dead River Plays Best Game Yet, Loses 6-5 to Cardigan

Dead River played, perhaps, their best game of the season in a 6-5 loss to the high powered Cardiganians. Cardigan shook off their typical modus operandi by actually showing up in the first period and jumping out to a 3-0 lead on Greg \"WAGHIP\" Hadley and Dead River. WAGHIP was playing net for the second time this season as their starting goaltender, Matty \"The Eagle\" Crowson was out of town on a swingers cruise. Hadley was excellent and shut the door on Cardigan in the second period while his team deposited 5 goals on Matty \"Spazzy\" Albertazzi and Cardigan. 3 of those goals came from Ray \"Spritely\" Sprague during his natural hat trick. Cardigan was powered yet again by Owen \"Carpe Diem\" Carpino and his pair of goals and an assist as well as Sophie LeClerc\'s goal and two helpers. \"In the third period the Cardigan team finally woke up\" said referee Homer Rosenbeck. They dominated the final frame and went home winners.
