Harrington's 5 Goals Powers Tuck Past Whalers 6-3

What was billed as a Marquee matchup between two top tier UVHL teams ended up being a one man show as Tuck\'s Brandon \"The Harry One\" Harrington took his team of Wicked Smaaht Kids on his back and took them to took the entire Whalers team to school. Harrington\'s 5 goals was a career high for him and couldn\'t have come at a better time. It was a battle of the Tuck Hockey Alumni and the big question is \"Who wears it better?\" I mean, \"Who\'s Better?\" the Whaler\'s Joe Gaudet or Tuck\'s Harrington. The Whalers(5-3-0) were 1 goal favorites over Tuck(6-2-0) based on two factors: 1. The Whalers beat up Tuck 7-5 on November 6th, and...2. We have no idea what Tuck\'s roster will look like in mid-December. There was an initial \"feeling out phase\" as the two teams battled for almost 10 minutes before Harrington registered his first of the night from his new BFF Mike Nowak who had three helpers on the night, all to Harrington. The pass from Nowak found Harrington in the low slot where he lit up Kenny \"LaArthritis\" Lallier low blocker like a Griswold Christmas Tree. \"Jumbo\" Joe Gaudet tied the game up with 2:28 to play, this reporter missed the goal, but it probably went something like this. Gaudet dicks 3 Tuck players, spin-o-rama at the faceoff dot, and roofs the puck over Devine with a laser under the crossbar. Nowak & Harrington hooked up again with just 22 seconds in the period, same scenario...Harrington gets a pass from Nowak in the slot, burns Lallier like doobie at a Grateful Dead concert. END OF THE FIRST: Tuck 2, Whalers 1 Nowak set up Harrington on a breakaway with 11:32 left in the second. Harrington raced in all alone and fired the puck into Lallier\'s gaping 5-hole. Gaudet did his best to kept pace with his counterpart and added his second of the night after Mike \"Wine & Dine\" Devine made a nasty save on the doorstop, but was down and out when the puck landed to his right on the goal line. Guadet picked up the loose puck and roofed it over Devine for his second of the night. Devine was outstanding in the second period, making 16 of his 34 saves and absolutely frustrating the Whalers. He robbed Dillon \"Pencil Pusher\" Pierce of an open net with 11:27 to play and looked down right Hasek-esque. END OF THE SECOND: Tuck 3, Whalers 2 Devine kept his team afloat in the second period, but it was Harrington again in the third. He had a pair of goals in the third. Harrington made it 4-2 with 9:42 to play on a nice play from John Curan. Curan picked up the puck in the neutral zone and stormed down the far boards feeding Harrinton as he crashed the net with a Whaler on his back. Harrington redirects the pass on his backhand past Lallier for his 4th o the night. Tuck got another goal from a player without a number. I missed the goal so I\'m not sure what happened, but it made the score 5-2 for Tuck. Gary \"La Pearl Necklace\" Laperle cut the lead back to two goals as he dipsy-doed and fliggle-giggled the puck past Devine. I really have no idea what happened, but if it\'s Laperle, it must have been a point shot that went off his fat ass and into the net....5-3. Harrington put the night cap on the game with his 5th in the last minute of play. END OF REGULATION: Tuck 6, Whalers 3 Brandon \"The One Man Show\" Harrington was ridiculous tonight and OWNED LALLIER. His 5 goals was impressive and catapulted his team to a solid win. Backstopped by Devine who was outstanding and playing a solid defensive game, Tuck is dangerous. The Whalers are better than they showed tonight...but you\'re only as good as your worst night...or some bullshit like that.
