Gamblers Look To Rout Nords Again.
| ODDS: | Gamblers By 12 Goals |
| OVER/UNDER: | 16 Goals |
This week's unlucky team is the Nordiques(9-6-0) who could shock the world with an upset win over the Gamblers(15-0-0).
So far this season the Gamblers have beaten up the Nords by a score of 11-3 twice and 5-2 in the third game. Tonight should be no different, especially with the Nords missing their goaltender Johny "Temper Tantrum" Turner, center Jordy McGee, wingers Roger "The Dirty Dentist" Phillips and Poli "The Nightmare" Nightengale and defensemen Tommy "The Minister of Defense" Dakai and Kelly "The Mouth" Park.
The Nords will be extremely short and that will affect the outcome of this game for sure.
The Gamblers have a ridiculous 9 players in double digit points this season through 15 games. Their top line has combined for 160 points...REALLY! ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FUCKING POINTS!!!!! Unfortunately for the Gamblers, and the league, a member of that top line, Danny Ammel, has dislocated his ankle and the plate and 7 screws they put in his leg will keep him out for the remainder of the season.
The Gamblers will rout the Nords...14-2.
Gambers Continue Perfection in Shortened Win.
The game was called off shortly after the first period when \"rookie\" netminder James \"Torn Ligament\" Tierney did just that and tore some ligaments in his wrist closing out the first period diving and scrambling trying to keep the Gamblers at bay. Tierney made it through intermission but had to call it quits early in the second when his wrist had swollen up and he couldn\'t grasp his hockey stick.
This is probably best case scenario for everyone wearing a green Nordiques jersey tonight. The Gamblers were on their way to an epic win and could easily run the score into the high teens. In just over a period of play, the Gambler\'s Marc \"The Narc\" Gattie was able to rack up a pair of goals and an assist to lead the way offensively. The Nordiques weren\'t able to get on the board.
They tried playing posts, and the Nords Robbie \"Little Debbie\" Manned up, putting Tierney\'s equipment on and trying to resurrect the fallen game.
In the end, the Gamblers got the win, everyone had fun and beers were drunk...sorry, players got drunk.

I hope we keep it closer than that tonight...there IS a good chance we will have a very tough time winning this one, but I know we won't just give them the game...they ARE in for a tough win IF they get one habman Killington, VT

 | Gamblers by 12!? Feb 7th, 2012 07:05 PM
Come on, seriously!? I mean the Gamblers are a very good team, but I don't think think even the craziest of Las Vegas betters would bet on a 12-goal spread in this one!
How about 5? I think that's a little more realistic. 8-3? That's fair. The Dark Canuck Fairlee, VT

I would love nothing more than to hand the G-men their first loss, but they have a great team. We will no doubt have to on our game to beat 'em, I will also keep the lungs clear until this one's over...case of LT and a win..priceless

 | Might as well have beenFeb 12th, 2012 03:31 PM IN RESPONSE TO:BY: rgrunds Really? Did you guys just play a scrimmage? After the 4th goal,(in the first period) the sub goalie JT had come out, winced in pain after injuring himself lunging to make a Hasek-like save, could not continue end of the first. We played the 2nd with 6 skaters and an empty net, only to have Robbie from our team use the guy's goalie gear and go in net for most of the 3rd, only letting up 3 more...not bad at alll...I would have hidden behind the net. rgrunds Stowe, VT
