In the final game of the night we have the Gamblers hosting the Whalers. The Gamblers are coming into tonight off well played loss to the Blues and the Whalers are coming in tonight after beating the Nords 9-4. With the season series tie 1-1 this won't be a shoe in win for the Gamblers as they will need to work for it, they will eventually take control of the game late in the second period as they will win this game 6-2.

In the final game of the night we have the Gamblers hosting the Whalers. The Gamblers are coming into tonight off well played loss to the Blues and the Whalers are coming in tonight after beating the Nords 9-4. The Whalers opened the game up with Scotty Shaw scoring the game"s first goal 27 seconds into the game shocking the Gamblers. After giving up a quick goal the Gamblers would rebound and pick up their play, however it was the Whalers who would score the games next goal. The Whalers Matt Gauthier put the Whalers up 2-0 with 7:06 left to go in the period as he be beat the Gamblers Ryan Van Schoick with a quick shot. The Whalers weren"t done there as they would get one more goal from Dillan Pierce with 5:53 to go in the period and put the Whalers up 3-0. The period would end with the Whalers up 3-0 and the Gamblers were down 3-0 for the first time this year after one period of play. Heading into the second the Gamblers were able to finally get on the board when Topo Lacroix made the score 3-1 with 11:15 to go in the period. The Gamblers kept the pressure on but it was the Whalers Dillan Pierce who would score the games next goal with 2:39 remaining in the period to put the Whalers up 4-1. The Gamblers Ryan Bergeron would cut the lead in half with 48 seconds left in the period as he beat Lailler from the point with a slapper. The period would end with the Whalers up 4-2 although the Gamblers have outshot the Whalers 29 to 19. With the Gamblers scoring late in the second they came out with momentum and keeping the pressure on the Whalers. The Gamblers Jason Young would score with 12:16 left in the period with a wrist shot from the point to make the score 4-3. The Gamblers weren"t done there as Zach Aher would tie the game with 4:49 left in the period as he beat Lallier with hard wrist shot that never left the ice. With the score tied 4-4 it looked as this game was going to a shootout but the Whalers substitute player Jay Zanleoni would score the game winner with 1:20 left in the period. Although the Gamblers went down 3-0 after one period of play they battled back but the Whalers held them off as they picked up their third win of the season.
