The Gamblers have routed Dead River in three games this season by a combined score of 25-7. They have scored at least 8 games in all three but things seem to be getting better each meeting for Dead River. They lost by seven goals in the first two, but only scored one goal in the first game...improved to two goals in the second and made it a game in an 8-4 loss on January 29th. Dead River played the Nordiques tough last week to a 3-2 loss(plus an empty netter), played the Whalers to a 3-2 game with under 5 minutes to play before succumbing 5-2. Those are two huge steps for Dead River but the Gamblers are on another level right now winning six in a row and returning to their 2011-2012 form. The G-Men are too deep both up front and on defense and are backed by the stellar Ryan Van Schoik. It's a tale of two Goal Differentials. Dead River sits at -90(48 Goals For and 138 Goals Allowed), the Gamblers ride a 105 GF / 61 GA stat line for a league leading 44. Gamblers will roll Dead River 9-4 if Crowson plays out of his mind...11-2 otherwise.

Dead River came out to play tonight and hung in there with the top ranked Gamblers...for two periods before being drown by the relentless attack of the Gamblers. Dead River\'s Matty \"The Eagle\" Crowson was spectacular early on, keeping his team in the game and turning away 52 shots on the night. The Gamblers spread out their attack through both lines and their defensemen and Ryan Van Schoick put aside 28 shots in the win. Marrazzo\'s hat trick gave him 26 on the season and 4th in goals for the UVHL, but his team Ryan \"Thing 2\" LaCroix also had a hat trick for his 27th, 28th & 29th goals. The scary thing is that Marrazzo & LaCroix have more goals together(55) than Dead River has as a team this season(50). DR played hard, backboned by Crowson and held the high powered Gamblers to four goals through two periods. That 4-1 lead would balloon in the third with goals from LaCroix(2), Gattie, Ammel & Marrazzo. Dead River doubled their goal production on the night from a high-light reel goal in the third. Matty \"The Milkman\" Marrazzo was the clear cut first star in this game as he notched a hat trick and added a helper while two of his goals came in the first period when Dead River still had their legs. Marrazzo\'s best friend tonight was Ryan \"The Boogeyman\" Bergeron who had the first assist on Marrazzo\'s two early goals while manning the blue-line and shutting down the Whalers. Bergy received a third star for his efforts.

GMB 1-0 - Malcolm to Thing 1 in the corner to Thing 2 in the crease for the backdoor tip-in. Thing 2 fought off a Dead Riverian defenseman to get his stick on the puck.

DR 1-1 - Charette sneaks in from far point and takes a pass from Ray Sprague at the top of the circle. Charette things of some Chubby Hubby icecream and lets a low snapper go through a screen that breaks off through Feiden\'s 5-hole.

GMB 2-1 - Marrazzo gets a pass from Bergeron in the neutral zone and storms up the far boards into Dead River territory. Marrazzo gets closed in by 3 Dead River players but cuts back between them along the top of the circles and beats Crwoson from the high slot with a snapper glove side.

GMB 3-1 - Same play as the last one where Bergy hit Marrazzo, he cut across the tops of the circles and beat Crowson...this time blocker side.

GMB 6-2 -Noel Baxter had a hell of a goal as he picked up a loose puck at center ice split the defense and roofed a backhander over Van Schoik, all the while getting hooked by a Gambler\'s defenseman. Great goal, but too little too late.
