The Gamblers were stunned last week 6-5 by Cardigan...and will probably bring a little extra energy to this game tonight. In 14 career games between these two franchises, the Gamblers have won all 14 by a combined score of 113 to 20 with three shutouts. Pure domination. Their one contest this year ended in an 8-1 win for the Gamblers. The G-Men have 5 players in the top 20 for scoring: Matty "The Milkman" Marrazzo(12-8-20 in 9GP), Willy "Weeble" Meyer(7-13-20 in 9GP), Ryan "Thing 2" LaCroix(10-5-15 in 8GP), Dan "Danimal" Ammel(9-6-15 in 9GP) and Topo "Thing 1" LaCroix(4-9-13 in 9GP). The Gamblers are 3rd in the league with 49 goals scored in 9 games and first with a stingy 30 goals allowed. Dead River is dead last in both with only 23 goals scored and a whopping 74 goals allowed. Last week Dead River played a pretty solid 7-4 loss to the Nordiques, but only rostered 5 players and pulled in 3 rental players from the Whalers which helped to solidify their game a little bit. They've got youth and time on their side, but unless they focus on defense it's going to continue to be an ugly season, especially against teams like the Gamblers. Gamblers win this one...10-2.
