After the Tuckies beat Dead River in week one, they have completely fallen apart, losing by a combined score of 21-4 to the Nordiques & Gamblers. Their top line of Cherney, Walsh & Seeley have contributed for 14 of their teams 18 total points and six of their 8 goals this season. Benny Dower hasn't been superb, but his team hasn't done him any favors, and he should rebound nicely tonight. The Whaler's have had an interesting start as well, with a shootout loss to open the season, followed by a blowout loss to the Gamblers and a come-from-behind win over Dead River last week. They've received an offensive pop from rookies Dillon Pierce and Joe Gaudet. Pierce leads the team with seven points while Gaudet scored a hattrick in his first career game last week. The hinge-pin in this game is Whaler Kenny "LaGlove" Lallier. If Lallier can show up and make some key saves, this should be a cake walk for the Whale. Final Score...6-3 Whalers.

The Whalers have won two in a row after an 0-1-1 start. Tonight they took down the Tuckies, but had to work for the win, as Tuck held a 2-1 lead after two periods of play. The big star of tonights game was the Whaler\'s Dillon \"Primetime\" Pierce who had 3 goals and 2 assists. Pierce had both the Game Winning and Insurance Goals late in the third period. The rookie is clearly playing for a bigger contract for next season. Another storyline was two ex-Dartmouth College hockey Alumni faced off against one another. The Whaler\'s Joe Gaudet & Tuck\'s Brandon Harrington spent 3 years together playing for the Big Green. Tonight, the older Harrington outperformed Gaudet as he accumulated a pair of goals and an assist in the loss. Tuck\'s Benny Dower was solid through two periods as he turned away 26 shots, but a quick pair from Pierce turned the tides. Pierce\'s first came at 9:05 of the third period on a beautiful move as he cut across the crease beating Dower far side. Off the ensuing faceoff, Pierce cut through the defense for a semi-breakaway that Dower saved, only to see Pierce jam home the rebound as he was being hauled down. Harrington tallied his second of the game just over a minute later, but the Whalers added two more before the final buzzer. The Whalers are a team to watch out for with the addition of Pierce & Gaudet to their already solid lineup. Tuck looked drastically improved with Harrington, not to mention they had a majority of their key cogs in the lineup tonight. They should improve with each week.
