In the second game of the night we have the Gamblers hosting the Nords. The Gamblers come into tonight off a big win over Tuck last week as they look to go 3-0 in the league. The Nords on the other hand come into tonight off a loss to the Jacks and they are sitting at 0-2. The Gamblers are playing well as a team right now and the Nords are still trying to put all the pieces of the puzzle together with their new roster. The edge goes to the Gamblers as they are firing on all cylinders from goaltending to offense, the G-men win 7-2

In the second game of the night we have the Gamblers hosting the Nords. The Gamblers come into tonight off a big win over Tuck last week as they look to go 3-0 in the league. The Nords on the other hand come into tonight off a loss to the Jacks as they are sitting at 0-2. The game started out with one of the fastest goals scored in the UVHL history when the Gamblers Jason Grambling scored just 9 seconds into the game to put the G-men up 1-0. With the fast start the Gamblers kept the pressure on the Nords and forced them to take a penalty with 10:57 left in the period. On the power play it was Gramling who struck again for his second of the night at 9:30. With the Gamblers up 2-0 they didn"t stop there as they were in full control of this game from the beginning, they would score three more before the period was over. The third goal was scored by Ethan Gage, 4th was by Ethan Gage and the 5th was by Max Woods. The G-men peppered Colin Farr all period as he finished the first period with 20 saves.

In the second period the G-men continued to dominate the play and take it to the Nords who were without any of the normal defensemen (Kelly Park, Ryan McGovern, and Pierce Mayhew). The Gamblers got 4 more goals in the second period, they were scored by Ethan Gage (2nd of the night), Goose LaCroix , Jason Gramling (3rd of the night), and Topo LaCroix. With the Gamblers up 9-0 and the G-men cruising, the Gamblers Gary Smith took a hooking penalty as time expired and the Nords were awarded a penalty shot. Roger Phillips would take the shot for the Nords, Roger came in Ryan Van Schoick and made a deke to slide the puck 5 hole on Van Schoick to give the Nords had there only goal of the night. The second period ended with the score 9-1 Gamblers and the Nords Farr had 13 saves in the period.

In the third the G-men would add four more goals to cruise to a 13-1 win. The four goals were scored by Matty Marrazzo, Max Woods (2nd), Gary Smith, and Jason Gramling (4th). It should be noted that Jason Gramling finished the night with a ridiculous 4 goals and 3 assist and the Nords Colin Farr finished the night with 45 saves in the losing effort. With the win the Gamblers took over sole possession of first place with Labatt Blues losing in a shootout.
