In the consolation game we have the Gamblers hosting the Nordiques to see who finishes in third place. The Gamblers come in tonight after losing to Tuck last week 5-2 and the Nords are coming off a 2-1 OT loss to the Lumberjacks. The Gamblers had 9 guys and the Nords showed up with 7 guys, to make it more fair the Gamblers gave up one of their guys to help the Nords. The Gamblers were also without Ryan Van Schoick tonight as he broke his hand skiing and Ryan Libby filled in for him. The game started out with the Gamblers coming out hard and taking it to the Nords. The Gamblers got two first period goals to give them a 2-0 lead after one period of play. The Gamblers goals were scored by the "Swed" and Goose LaCroix.

In the second period the G-men continued to take it to the Nords and it only took the Gamblers Brandon Guidotti a minute and half to put the Gamblers up 3-0. The Gamblers kept the pressure on as Jason Young scored at 7:11 to make the score 4-0. The Gamblers were able to get one more before the period was over from Ethan Gage who was set up by Goose LaCroix and Dan Ammel. The period would end with the Gamblers up 5-0 and if it wasn"t for JT"s explain in net for the Nords, they would be losing by more. JT made 35 saves in first two periods of play.

In the final period of play the Nords were able to finally break the shut out at 9:49 when Ryan McGovern beat the Gamblers Libby with a seeing-eye shot. McGovern"s goal opened the scoring up for the period as there was a combined 9 goals between the two teams in the third. The Gamblers Ryan Bergeron would answer right back for the Gamblers just 30 seconds later making the score 6-1 Gamblers. The Nords Ryan McGovern would then score two goals in a span of 42 seconds to make the score 6-3 Gamblers. That would be as close as they would get though as the Gamblers picked up there play and scored four more goals, three from Max Woods and one for Jason Young to make the score 10-3. The Nords would add one more goal late to make the final score 10-4 Gamblers as they took the Bronze medal game.

*Note: The Nords goalie JT played a great game in goal and kept this one as close as he could, he finished the night with 48 saves.
