Tuck Continues Championship Roll.

Season 5 of the UVHL Kicked off with a classic tilt, Nordiques @ Tuck. Tuck, the reigning Pop Warner Cup Champions were taking on the Nordiques who held the best record in the UVHL for the 2006-2007 season. The comparisons of the two Season 4 heavy weights ended once the puck dropped and a tenacious Tuck squad dominated the Nords in every aspect of the game.

The Nordiques held strong for the first period behind a dominant performance from perennial All-Star John Turner. The first ended in a 1-1 tie behind a nifty goal from Scotty "I'll never play in this league again" Turco for Tuck and a garbage goal from Greg "I have no idea what to do in the defensive zone" Marsh.

Tuck started out the second by peppering Turner with shot after shot on their way to outshooting the Nords 35-13. Tuck received a strong performance from rookie net-minder Ryan Fitzgerald (1ga, 13 saves) as well as rookies Adam Mantin (1 goal, 1assist), Takashi MikoShiba, Pace Ralli, Ryan McGovern & Mike Adair.

Vetern forwards Peter "The Juice" Hanbury and Trevor "The Maniac" Martin added a goal & an assist apiece. Turco continued his success in the UVHL tallying 2 goals & an assist while Brian "The Bee" Fleming added an assist and some TENACIOUS forechecking.

Overall Tuck looks like the team to beat. They have a well balanced team, good goaltending and guys that don't drink enough beer.
