A tale of two teams...Nords @ Tuck
| ODDS: | Nordiques By 6 Goals |
| OVER/UNDER: | 9.5 Goals |
The Nordiques and Tuck faceoff for the second time this season. The first was an 11-2 beat down win for the Nordiques which started them on a four game win streak and inversely started Tuck on their own four game losing streak. The Nordiques sit in second place and Tuck in second to last place. The Nordiques are 6 this season in goal differential and Tuck is -20.
Tuck has had some nice offensive production from Josh Cherney (3-4-7 in 4 GP), Nate "The Great" Walsh (3-3-6 in 5 GP), Tyson "The Mattress" Seeley (2-3-5 in 6 GP) and rookie Brandon Harrington (3-1-4 in 2 GP).
The Nordiques have nine players with at least a point per game, led by Jordy "McNasty" McGee (3-6-9 in 4 GP), Roger "The Drill" Phillips (6-3-9 in 6 GP) and Kelly "The Mouth" Park (2-7-9 in 6 GP).
Led by their stellar goaltender, Johnny "Scones" Turner the Nordiques should walk away with this one early.
Nordiques win in 9-2 or 9-3.
Nords bounce back after loss with 8-2 win over Tuck
The Nords entered this game with their tail between their legs after yet another loss to the Gamblers. Apparently they didn\'t let it stick in their heads because they came out with a good effort against an improving Tuck squad that you just can\'t take lightly.
With game notes kindly provided by Kelly Park, I am able to do some justice to this write-up as I was home sick with vaginitis all week crying because my Leafs are the Bruins\' bitch.
Park scored first from Mayhew streaking into the high slot going 5-hole at 9:39.
Ryan McGovern\'s goal at 5:11 snuck down the far boards and McG put a nice pass upstairs on Zwald from Tom Dakai and Jordan McGee. Brandon Harrington did not allow the Nords to finish as the only team scoring in the first period, and his first goal of the game was a SNIPE, 1 on 3 down the near boards, a quick snapper in stride off the far post and in glove side. Turner said \"I didn\'t even have a chance to react\". Park\'s synopsis of Harrington is such that \"Harrington was scary good, quick shot, great skater. We definitely had to focus on stopping him.\"
In the second Marsh & Phillips connected at 9:22, and then Park got his second on another \"great pass to Park streaking into the high slot by Mayhew\" that went just over the pad glove side at 7:40. Zwald made three huge saves in the second period as he stopped Phillips on an initial shot, then Mayhew on the back door and Park on Mayhew\'s rebound. Mayhew had the crucial, key, all-important, insignificant LATE Hat Trick! Harrington\'s second goal was \"nasty\". A turnover by Park down low in Tuck\'s end forced Nightingale to play defense. Harrington got a pass from Zanleoni in his own end, raced down the far boards.
Final Score: Nords win 8-2
Final Tally: Pierce Mayhew led all UVHL scorers on the night with 3 CRUCIAL goals, and 2A to Kelly \"Fuckin\" Park. Harrington scored both of Tuck\'s goals.
Final Analysis: As per Parky: \"It was all Nords. Turner wasn\'t too busy, but still had to make a couple of key saves\". The Nords keep a slim lead over the Brewers by 1 point to remain in 2nd place.
