The Nordiques and the Gamblers come in to this game pretty evenly matched even though their record are not the same, the Nords are 2-2 and the Gamblers are 1-2-1. The Nords have been playing well lately with solid goaltending from JT and being led offensively by Jamie Solon and Pierce Mayhew.

The Gamblers have been struggling as of late to put together a full team effort. The Gamblers have been in every game and just a few goals away from having a much better record.

The Gamblers get up for this game, put a full team effort together and win this game 4-2 in the third.

The Gamblers and the Nords are coming into this game with very similar records as both teams have been inconsistent. This game started with both teams coming out very passive and waiting for the other to make a mistake. The Gamblers scored the only goal of the period at 6:56 when Zach Aher tipped the puck past Matt Albertazzi who was filling in for JT. Although the Gamblers were leading on the scoreboard the Nords had more chances but couldn't get one past Ryan Van Schoick.

The second period started off the same way the first ended with the Nords pressuring and were finally able to get on the scoreboard when Jordan McGee (who was helping the Nords out as they were short guys tonight) picked the puck up in his defensive blue line and skated down the boards and ripped a perfectly placed shot from circle that beat Van Schoick high glove side of the post and in. Shortly there after the Nords got a penalty at 11:24, just ten seconds into the PP Ryan LaCroix beat Tazzi to put the Gamblers back up 2-1. The Gamblers kept the momentum going and just a minute later they got a goal from Dan Ammel who was open backdoor after being set up by Ethan Gage and Zach Aher. The Nords didn't give up though, just two minutes later at the 8:00 mark, they got a goal from Stu Grande who was setup from James Solon. Both teams continued to play conservative until the Nords defense pinched in the offensive zone and it resulted in the Gamblers coming down on Tazzi on a three on zero, Ryan LaCroix netted his second of the night at 2:41 after some pretty passing from Topo LaCroix and Max Woods. The period ended with the Gamblers up 4-2 going into the third.

In the third the Gamblers got into some penalty trouble and although they didn't give up a goal on the first PP, they were not able to kill off the second. The Nords got a PP goal from James Solon who was set up by Stu Grande and Pierce Mayhew. The Nords were able to get within one goal of the Gamblers before getting into some penatly trouble of there own. The Gamblers were not able to capitalize but they gained momentum back. The Gamblers finally struck with 4:00 minutes left in the game as Max Woods was hanging and caught the Nords defense sleeping. Ethan Gage hit Woods with a tape to tape pass to send him in on a breakaway, where he beat Tazzi to put the Gamblers up 5-3. Ryan Lacroix added one with just ten seconds left to get a hat trick on the night and seal the deal. The Gamblers win 6-3.
