Rest In Peace Brian "Duke" Walsh

It is with great sadness to pass along that a UVHL Alumni, Brian "Duke" Walsh, passed away on December 13th. While we only had 2 years with Brian, he left a lasting impression on the Upper Valley.

The Duke joined the UVHL in 2006-2007 as a 52 year old, not only holding his own, but driving play and keeping up with the youngsters putting up 20 points in 25 games.

Hailing from Cambridge, Massachusetts and attending Matignon High School, which the Spittin' Chiclets guys recently said on their podcast "Matignon was a gas station with books before Dukie got there and left his mark." Duke then went on to play at Notre Dame University where he still holds the record for career points (234) almost 50 years later.
