In the second game of the night we had the Jacks hosting the Blues. The Jacks came out fast and would go up 1-0 on a goal from Joe Gaudet 19 seconds into the game. The Blues would tie the game up on a Tyler White goal at 9:30. The Blues would go up 2-1 on a goal from Justin Belden with 1:05 remaining the period. The period would end with the Blues up 2-1. In the second period the score would remain the same until 2:22 when Taylor Porrier would put the Blues up 3-1. The Blues would add another goal this time from Tyler White to put the Blues up 4-1 with 1:09 left in the period. The period would end with the Blues up 4-1 as they looked like they were in control of this game. In the third the Jacks picked up their play and it would pay off at 12:38 mark when Sean Murphy would beat the Blues Jay Seals making the score 4-2. The Jacks would keep chipping away at the lead as Evan Seely would make the score 4-3 with 9:40 remaining. The Jacks would then tie the score at 4 on a Nico Brands goal at the 8:34 mark. With the score tied at 4-4 the Blues would pick up their play but the Jacks Ryan Libby was unbeatable this period. Libby would finish the period with 22 saves (42 saves on the night) as and the score would remain tied 4-4 after 3 periods. The shootout would go as follows: Blues-Tyler White- Shoot 5 hole- save Libby Jacks-Tim Patten- Deke- save Seals Blues-Taylor Porrier- Shoot- Save Libby Jacks-Nico Brands- deke and shoots short side Blocker side GOAL Blues-Reid Lesswing- shot low stick side, hits post Save Libby The Jacks win the Shootout 1-0!
