Avs start Mud League 2-0, Potter & Stars both 1-1, SK's 0-2 w/o superstars
What a crazy start to Mud League! The first night had barely 60% of the players in attendance, and that is with Potter Construction icing a full squad! The Avs came back against the UVHL Stars led by Chris Adams' singlehanded destruction of the Stars defense and JT after the Stars, who outnumbered the Avs 10-7, had a cushy 5-3 lead. Adams finished with 4G, 2A and had both the GTG and GWG. Potter crushed the Storm Kings 6-1, but it wasn't an impressive victory at all since a JV team could have beaten the Kingers on this night as they only had 5 reguars in the line-up, no Turco, Scull, Weber, Coakley or Hogg, and they needed Frenchy to play wing and used a tired Mike O'Neil and Greg Hadley from the Stars to fill in. If it wasn't for a heroic JT in net for the Kings it would have been 26-1! Beware Mud Leaguers, the Kingers will be a different team when their superstars return from Finland and/or Spring Break...
On the second night it was upsets galore! In a legit 10-on-10 battle the UVHL Stars upset the Storm Kings (with Turco in da house) 7-4 on the strength of Ken Lallier's heriocs in net and Doug Heavisides' 5G, 1A night. Potter was man-handled by the Avalanche who at one point held a 6-1 lead, and Chris Johnson scored a Hat Trick, Christian Isaac scored a sick, fucking retarded goal over Obar's left shoulder, and Potter did not know what to do about Bayley and could not solve Bartline until late in the game.
