In the second semifinal game we had the 2nd seed Whalers hosting the 3rd seed Lumberjacks. The Whalers would jump out to a 1-0 lead on a goal from Matt Fracassi at 12:54. The Whalers Jordan McGee would tie the game up on a breakaway after all the Whalers stopped in disbelief a penalty was going to be called on them, McGee's tying goal came at 12:21. The Jacks would jump out to a 2-1 lead on a goal by Evan Seely with 5:02 remaining. Although the Whalers gave up their early lead and were now trailing 2-1 the Whalers would tie the game at 2-2 when Ryan Longfield put one pass Libby with 2:28 remaining in the period. The period would end with the score tied at 2-2 heading into the second.

In the second the Jacks would jump back out to 3-2 lead as they would get goals from Alex Boccolucci at 9:39. Although both teams would get a chance the period would end with the Jacks up 3-2 heading into the 3rd.

In the third period the Jacks Evan Seely would notch his second goal of the night at 7:38 to put the Jacks up 4-2. The Whalers would answer back two minutes later a goal Matt Fracassi, his second of the night with 5:46 remaining to make the game a one goal game (4-3 Jacks). With a shot at the championship on the line the Jacks would answer back just 36 seconds later as Tim Patten would extend the Jacks score to 5-3 with 5:10 remaining. The Jacks would hold on to win the game by the score of 5-3 and a chance at their first ever championship.
