In the first semifinal match up we had the top seed Blues hosting the Gamblers. The Blues would jump out to quick 1-0 lead on a goal by Bart Moran a little over a minute into the game (13:48). The Gamblers would get that goal back when Don Chute would tie the game up at 1-1 at the 11:45 mark. Period would end with the score 1-1 even though both teams had a couple power play chances a piece.

In the second it was the Blues Tj Moran who would put his team up 2-1 on a goal where he walked through the Gamblers defense just 48 seconds into the period. The Gamblers would tie the game on a power play goal by Ray Nolan at 9:55 and then the Gamblers would go up 3-2 on a goal by Don Chute (2nd of the night). The period would end with the Gamblers up 3-2 heading into the final frame.

The third would start with the Gamblers on the power play but they couldn't extend their lead as Jay Seals was solid in net. Then at 11:31 the Blues would tie the game up on a flip in dump by Bart Moran which would make its way into the back of the net to make the score 3-3. Less than two minutes later Will Meyer would take a penalty and the Blues would cash in on their power play chance as Trevor Bilings would put his team up 4-3 at 9:17. On the next faceoff the Blues would put the pedal to the floor and TJ Moran would notch his second goal of the night just 12 seconds later to put the Blues up 5-3 with 9:05 remaining. TJ would finish out the scoring by getting his 3rd goal of the night at 6:16 which would clinch the Blues win by the score of 6-3. The Blues advance to the Whalen Cup finals next week as they look to claim their second championship in the franchise history, their last one was in 2011.
