In the second game of the night we had the Whalers hosting Tuck. The Whalers were 3-0 coming into the night and Tuck was 0-4 which is roles reversed from last year. The Whalers wasted no time jumping out to a lead on a goal from Peter Scalia 38 seconds into the period. The Whalers would then go up 2-0 on a goal from Cole Hunter. The Whalers would then cash in on their only power play chance when Dan Fenton put them up 3-0 with 3:50 left in the period. The period would end with the Whalers up 3-0 although the shots were 13-11 Whalers.

In the second period the Whalers kept the foot on the gas pedal and Dan Fenton would get his second of the night at 11:18. Finally after almost two periods of being held scoreless Tuck would get on the board on a goal from Brodie Stone to make the score 4-1 with 3:31 remaining. After scoring a goal Tuck started to buzz a little and created a power play chance for themselves. While on the power play Brodie Stone would score his second of the night to make the score 4-2 heading into the third period.

In the third period the Whalers would need just 4 minutes and 4 seconds to go up 5-2 on a goal from Chuck Gaede. The Whalers captain would then get in on the scoring as Kelly Park would put his team up 6-2 about a minute later (9:47). The Whalers would add one more goal for good measures as Marc Stannard would make the score 7-2 with 6:02 remaining. Tuck would get one last goal this time it was Chris McMahon to make the score 7-3 and that is how the game would end. Although the shots were pretty even it came down to goaltending and defense in front of the goalie that made the difference. The Whalers have jumped out to the best start in franchise history with a 4-0 record and are in first place. The Whalers should not be overlooked this year as they work their butts off and always find a way to make the play happen.
