In the first game of the night we had a rematch of the top two teams in the league. The last time these two teams played, they had to decide it in a shoot out, however that was not the case tonight. The Blues got on the scoreboard first as Tyler White put the Blues up 1-0 with 54 seconds remaining in the first period.

In the second period the Gamblers picked up their play and they were able to tie the game at 1-1 on a break away goal from Troy Miller at 6:55 mark. The game would only remained tied for 37 seconds as that is as long as it took for Mike Anderson to take the puck end to end and put one past the Gamblers netminder to make the score 2-1. The Blues up 2-1 the Gamblers would take a late penalty with 1:42 left in the period, the Blues again wasted no time on the power play and Tim McAuliffe would put the Blues up 3-1 at 1:31.

Heading into the third with a 3-1 lead the Blues would extend their lead to 4-1 on a goal from Matt DelGiudice with 11:40 left to play in the period. The score would remain 4-1 for the rest of the game as the Blues cruised to a 4-1 win over the the Gamblers. The Blues are now 7-0-1 and are yet to lose a game in regulation play. It should also be noted both goalies played great hockey as the Blues Jay Seals finished the night with 28 saves and the Gamblers Ryan Van Schoick finished the night with 40 saves in the losing effort.
