In the second game of the night we had the regulars season champs Blues hosting the Lumberjacks. Both teams showed up with a few new guys but for the most part the rosters were the same. Like the first game both teams took some time to adjust to being back on the ice and also adjusting to their new teammates.  With a 1:18 left in the period the Jacks were able to jump out to a 1-0 led on a goal from sub (Whalers) Dan Fenton.  The peroid would end with the Jacks up 1-0 but the shots were close as the Jacks had 13 and the Blues had a 11.

In the second period the Blues picked up their game and tied the score at 1-1 on a goal from TJ Moran at 10:29 mark in the period.  TJ wasn't done their as he would notch his second of the game at 8:46 mark to give the Blues their first led 2-1.  The period would end with the score 2-1 Blues heading into the third but the Jacks would be taking a power play opportunity into the third with them as the Blues would get a pentaly with 12 seconds left in the period.  Just like the first period the shots were very close, 16 for the Blues and 15 for the Jacks.

In the third the Jacks would come out to PP and make the Blues pay for their pentaly, the Jacks goal was scored by Russell Teller (another sub from the Whalers) just 50 seconds into the period. With the score tied 2-2 their was a lot of hockey left to be played.  Both teams would continue to get changes but it was the Blues who would score next, this time it was Jason Mikula who put the Blues up 3-2 with 8:06 remaining.  Although the Jacks would keep pressure on the Blues, the Jacks couldn't find the back of the net again tonight as the Blues would win their first game of the season by the score of 3-2.

Again like the first game, both teams played well as the game went on and both goalies played really well also. The Jacks Ryan Libby finished the night with 36 saves and the Blues Jay Seals finished with 41 saves.
