In the first game of the night we have the Gamblers hosting Tuck. Both teams showed up with full benches even though the roads were slick. Tuck came out with a lot of intensity early in the game, the Gamblers were able to stay in this game due to the goaltending from Tucker Garrity-Hanchett as he was turning shots away left and right. Neither team would score in the first but there were a total of six penalties called in the period. The score remained scoreless due to both goalies playing very well.

In the second period Tuck came out just as fast as they started but it was the Gamblers who would get on the board first as Topo LaCroix would make it 1-0 1:06 into the period. The Gamblers would take a penalty right after scoring but Tuck was unable to capitalize on their chance. After killing the penalty off the Gamblers Will Meyer sent a high flip pass out of the Gamblers zone and teammate Travis Hutchins picked up the pass and broke into the zone on a breakaway. Hutchins would the Gamblers up 2-0 with 9 minutes left in the second period. The period would end with the Gamblers up 2-0 as they were only ahead because of the solid goaltending from Tucker Garrity-Hanchett. Shots were not kept for the game but he roughly had to have 30 saves through two periods and Tuck"s Farr was equally as good.

In the third Tuck picked up their play again and finally they were able to get on the board when Craig Switzer beat the Gamblers Garrity-Hanchett short side with a wicked wrister with 12:49 remaining in the period. Tuck built some momentum off of their first goal and they would quickly tie the score at 2-2 on a goal by Matt Salmon with 9:48 left. After giving up two quick goals the Gamblers looked like they were back on their heels as Tuck kept bringing it to them. The Gamblers Garrity-Hanchett was there to bail his team out shot after shot as the period went on. The Gamblers would get in penalty trouble with five minutes remaining but they were able to kill it off and then get a chance of their own. On the power play with 2:21 left in the game, the Gamblers would get some good shoots and even hit the cross bar but they were not able to put one past Tuck's Colin Farr in the final minutes. The game would end in a tie and head into a shootout. The shootout would go as follows:

Tuck: Craig Switzer- Shot- Save
Gamblers: Max Woods- Shot- GOAL
Tuck: Manny Vezina: Shot- Save
Gamblers: Topo LaCroix- Shot - Save
Tuck: Radim Jaros- Shot- Save
