In the second game of the night we had the Nords hosting the Lumberjacks. The Nords come into the week off a win over shorthanded Tuck and the Jacks are coming off a loss to the Blues. The Nords look to extend their winning streak to three games and the Jacks look to get back into the win column. The game started out pretty even as both teams had chances in the first nine minutes, it wasn"t until the 5:43 mark in the first that the Jacks Marc Gattie got his team on the board. The Nords would answer back just two minutes later on a Pierce Mayhew goal. The Nords would then take the lead on a Peter Scalia goal with 2:23 left in the period. The period would end with the Nords up 2-1 with both goalies made seven saves in the first.

In the second period the Jacks picked up the pace but the Nords Colin Farr was there to turn away all their shots in the first ten minutes of the period. With 4:54 left in the period the the Nords Pierce Mayhew was called for tripping as the Jacks Colby Laperle was going in on a break way, the Jacks were awarded a penalty shot. Colby Laperle would take the penalty shot and beat the Nords Colin Farr with a shot low five-hole to tie the score at two. The Jacks would gain some momentum off the late period goal and grab the lead on a Sean Murphy goal with 1:25 left in the period. The period would end with the Jacks leading 3-2 heading into the third. It should be noted that the Nords Colin Farr made 13 saves and the Jacks Pelkey made 10 saves.

The third period started out with the Jacks taking a just 40 seconds into the period. The Nords were on a two minute power play but couldn"t get anything past Pelkey on the PP, however while the PP came to an end the Nords were able to tie the game at 3 on a Rich Golden goal. The Jacks would get a power play of their own a few minutes later but the Nords were able to kill it off. The Jacks would go up 4-3 with 8:51 left in the period when Brain Gattie beat Nords Colin Farr. After going up 4-3 the Jacks would get called for a penalty with 7:28 left in the game, while the Nords were setting up on the PP the Jacks were called for another penalty just 12 seconds later to put the Nords on a 5 VS 3 PP. While on the PP the where able to tie the game on Rich Golden"s second goal of the night just before the first penalty expired at 6:39. With the score tied at 4 the Nords were still on a PP 5 vs 4 but they were not able to get another goal. The Nords would take one last penalty before the period was over but the Nords best penalty killer (Farr) was able to keep the biscuit out of the net and the period would end with a 4-4 tie. This game was headed to a shootout.

The Nords choose to shoot second, the shootout went as follows:
