In the final game of the night we have the Lumberjacks hosting Labatt Blues. Both teams come into tonight off of wins last week, the Jacks beat Tuck and the Blues beat the Gamblers. This game will be the one to watch tonight as both teams are battling for second and third in the standings. The Blues took the first game 6-1 but that won't happen tonight as the Jacks are getting stronger as we get deeper in the season. The Blues will go on to win this game 4-2 but it will be a hard fought win for them.

In the final game of the night we have the Lumberjacks hosting Labatt Blues, both teams come into tonight off of wins last week as the Jacks beat Tuck and the Blues beat the Gamblers. The game started out hard and fast as both teams had full rosters unlike the first two games. The Blues would get on the board first as Garren Poirier would open the scoring at the 10:53 mark in the first. The Jacks would answer back at 7:09 when Loren Lunt would score on the power play after some great puck movement. The scored would remain tied at one after one as both teams continued to challenge one another.

In the second period the Blues took a penalty just 11 seconds in and the Jacks made them pay as Jordan Mcgee would score 19 seconds into the power play to put the Jacks up 2-1 with 14:30 left in the period. The Blues would battle back and tie the score at 2 when Mike Anderson blew a wrister past the Jacks Chris Pelkey. The score would remain tied at 2 until 4:29 left in the period when Jay Zanleoni would put the Jacks up 3-2. The Blues would answer right back when Tim Barrett would tie the game with 3:53 left in the second. The Blues would add one more before the period was over when Garren Poirier put the Blues up 4-2 with 2:56 left in the period.

Heading into the third with the Blues up 4-2 the Jacks come out hard forced the Blues to take two penalties over the course of the period but the Jacks were not able to capitalize on those chances as the Blues goalie Jay Seals was unbeatable in the third. After killing off the two penalties the Blues got the insurance goal from Jason Rasco with 5:34 left in the period to put the Blues up 5-3. The Jacks would get one more chance on the power play but again Seals was there to shut the door down on the Jacks. The Blues would win this hard fought game 5-3, it was a full team effort and if it wasn"t for Seals making 42 saves the outcome might have been different.
