In the first game of the night we have the Gamblers hosting the Lumberjacks. Both teams are coming into this week off of wins last week as the Gamblers beat Ramunto's and the Jacks over the Whale. The game started out with both teams feeling one another out. After about eight minutes of back and forth action the Jacks got on the scoreboard first as Gary Laperle let a hard low shot go on the ice as he was set up in the slot by line mates Tim Patten and Jay Zanleoni with 6:43 left in the period. The Gamblers didn"t take long to answer back as Max tied the game up at 5:26 when he was set up by Matt Marrazzo and Dan Ammel. The second goal of the night for the Jacks came from Gary Laperle with 4:16 left in the period and then Jordan Mcgee put the Jacks up by two goals (3-1) with 2:44 left in the period. With the Gamblers already down by two goals things didn"t look good for them as the Gamblers Jason Young got called for tripping at 1:51 left in the period. With the Gamblers on the penalty kill, Max Woods found a way to get the G-men back within one. Woods scored his second goal of the night from the Gamblers defensive end as he broke up the play as the Jacks were entering the zone, Woods gained control and then fired a shot from about 175 feet away on Lary. Lary was unable to control the bouncing shoot as it trickled 5-hole with just 11 seconds left in the period to make the score 3-2 Jacks heading into the second period. Although Lary let in the weak/odd goal late in the period he still had 15 saves in the first as the G-men were firing from every place on him.

The second period started out with back and forth action as both teams were pressing for the next goal. Both goalies had turned away a lot of shots in the first 12 minutes of the period but the Jacks were able to score the games next two goals pretty quickly as they have done to most teams they have played all year. The Jacks scored the first goal of the period with 2:25 left when Tyler Dewdney was able to knock home the rebound off a shot to put the Jacks up 4-2. Then just 6 seconds later the Jacks went up by three after the Jacks won the faceoff, skated into the Gamblers zone making tic tack to passing and setting up Jordan McGee back door for a tap in goal. The period ended with the Jacks up 5-2 and although they had a commanding lead now it wasn"t for the lack of trying from the Gamblers as they fired another 15 shots at Lary but he stopped them all in the second frame, giving him 30 saves through two periods.

With the Jacks having a commanding lead heading into the third the G-men didn"t give up, they kept the pressure on and firing shots on Lary from all areas of the ice. About half way through the period the G-men took another penalty and this time it led to a goal for the Jacks, Gary Laperle got his third of the night to complete the hat trick. The Jacks would cruise to a 6-2 win over the G-men behind another solid period of goaltending from Lary, who finished the third period with 17 saves and the night with 47 saves total.
