Tuck Dismantles Brewers 11-3!

Hell has officially frozen over! The lowly Tuck Turduckens have blown out the Bumblin' Brewers 11-3. What looked to be another rough night for Tuck ended up being their best performance of the season as two goaltender subs saw some heavy action. In net for Tuck was Johnny "Temper Tantrum" Turner and for the Brewers was Matty "Spaz" Albertazzi. Albertazzi saw a dizzying array of shots, stopping 29 of 40, while Turner was still very busy at the other end turning away 23 of 26.

Co-Commissioner, Shawny "McBlueCheeseSandwich" McDermott summed the game up perfectly with one long-winded comment. "The Brewers did not seem to show up really at all........they got out-hustled, out-passed.......burp.......Mantin could have beat them single-handedly, he had 6 goals......I think only two penalties were called, both by McWhistle......Tuck played really well, they got the loose pucks, they broke out of the zone really well.....burp, gurgle, fart.....the Brewers were good sports about it, but seemed lackadaisical all game.....man I could eat......but even though they lost, Chris Johnson had a nice goal (said with sarcasm)......just ask him, he'll tell you.....I could drink 3 gallons of blue cheese right now, and then wash that down with a twinkie & A1 sauce smoothie"

McDermott, that eloquent Pear Shaped Loser!!!! Tuck set the tone early with 3 in the first including a Nowak to Clifford to Mantin tally just 43 seconds in. Mantin was the catalyst for Tuck tonight as he potted 6 goals & 2 assists as he made Albertazzi his personal little swiss cheese target. Mantin added 2 goals every period and walked all over the ice untouched. The Brewers tallied their only goal of the first from Brian Smith on a pass from Billy Fletcher. Tuck's other tally was from rookie Ryuji "KOOCH" Kikuchi. Tuck controlled the flow of the game, outshooting the Brewers 16 - 8 in the first frame.

END OF THE FIRST: Tuck 3, Brew Crew 1
SAVES: Turner(TCK) 7, Albertazzi(BRE) 13

Tuck took the game over in the 2nd frame where they absolutely dominated the Brewers, outscoring the Brewers 6-1. Mantin added his 3rd & 4th as well as both of his assists. Johnny "The Big Red Dog" Clifford & Derek Nowak both added a pair of goals and assists apiece to contribute, totaling 12 points for the line in one frame. Chris "Turtle" Johnson cut the lead to 7 goals after cutting across the crease and roofing a backhander off the crossbar and in, sweet goal.

END OF THE SECOND: Tuck 9, Brew Crew 2
SAVES: Turner(TCK) 17, Albertazzi(BRE) 20

The entire Tuck turned up the class dial a bit in the 3rd and moved the puck around instead of lighting up Albertazzi. Well everyone except for Mantin who added the only two goals for Tuck in the 3rd period, each assisted by one of his linemates. The Brewers did strike first in the on an unassisted Brock "Bunny" Barton goal with 8:45 to play. Tuck's only penalty of the game came on a hooking call to Hession with 2:35 to play.

END OF REGULATION: Tuck 11, Brew Crew 3
SAVES: Turner(TCK) 23, Albertazzi(BRE) 29
