Brewers rally in the 3rd to win 8-6 Teeter-Totter Match with Potter.

The Potterians hosted the Drunken Brew Crew for the first game of the night which was slated to be one hell of a matchup between two solid teams. Potter Construction was coming off of a heartbreaking 5-4 loss at the hands of the Storm Kings where they handed over two breakaway goals on turnovers in the first before finding their groove and dominating the 2nd half of the game. The Brewers won their first game with a dramatic 9-2 dismantling of the newly formed NorLeafs squad.

Both teams were a bit short due to the Easter Holiday weekend, with the Brewers holding some open tryouts and pulling in A. Culbertson, WhatThe Heck, B. Lynch & Hehas Noname to fill some of the gaping holes in their lineup. Potter didn't need to plug any holes but were missing superstars Dan "Toe Pick" McGee, the Shaw Brothers & captain Justin "The Bar Hopper" Barwood due to a torn MCL.

There were some highlights in the game from both goaltenders as well as some very very very lows. The Brewer's Petey "Fish Nets" Bartline had more gaping holes than a bullet riddled prostitute, while Lallier looked like he forgot to take his viagra to "get up" for the game. Another high point was the Brewer's Joey Lyle having a 'Roid rage after taking a "the Animal" Dan Ammel stick to the face. Lyle started to turn green but was able to consume the anger after throwing Ammel to the ice while trying to rip off his head, but only able to dismount the the helmet of the downed man. That gave Lyle a healthy 10 minute misconduct and free trip to the locker room for the rest of the night.

Over all it was a fast paced, high octane, offensive showdown that featured some horrific defensive play. The Brew Crew collected 8 points from their 4 new additions with Hehas Noname collecting the game tying goal & game winner. Potter has been sparked by the return of Willy "The Bald Midget" Meyer who along with Ammel put up 2g and an assist apiece. Meyee'r favorite disk-distributer was Matty "The Poolman" Potter who assisted on both Meyer's goals, plus another. Potter has also enjoyed the acquisition of Dougie "Light Weight" Heavisides as he popped in his 2nd & 3rd goal this season.

As with last week, the Potterians jumped out to a QUICK DEFICIT as they managed to fuck up everything over the first period and allowing the Brew Crew to jump out to a quick 3-0 lead. Nick "The Stick" Bayley capitalized on ANOTHER Potter turnover just over a minute into the game as he toasted & jammed Lallier with a quick wrister from the far faceoff dots. Hehas Noname finished a Chris "Unsportsmanlike Conduct" Adams pass just 59 seconds later to give the Brewers a 2-0 lead with 12:53 to play in the first. The Brewers continued to press in the first but took another 11 and a half minutes to break through on Lallier who was beginning to role. A. Culbertson beat Lallier through a screen with 1:16 to go for the 3-0 lead.

Potter did finally break through on that giant ball of awkwardness called Bartline with only 11 seconds to go on a Heavisides goal that gave Potter a glimpse of hope before the period ended.

END OF THE FIRST: Potter 1, Brewers 3

That glimpse of hope at the end of the first that Potter was grasping at was smashed, then stepped on and possibly even spit upon with an Adams & Christian "Socially Challenged" Isaac tallies within the first 2:15 seconds to give the Brewers a hefty 5-1 lead.

Potter then found their groove as they tallied the next 5 goals to take the lead. 4 of the goals coming in the second period behind two goals each from Willy Meyer the "DanAmmel". Those 4 goals tied the game with just a minute to go in the 2nd period and show just how devastating the Potter offense can be, like a giant bunny MAULING some carrots.

END OF THE SECOND: Potter 5, Brewers 5

Potter took the lead just 13 seconds into the 3rd period behind Dougie Heavisides 2nd goal of the night. Heavisides proceeded to ride his stick into center ice, then he did a jig in front of the Brewers bench, sending them into a rage and possibly turning the tides of the game as the Brewers finished the keg on their bench, did 3 shots of tequila apiece, high fived each other 6 times, did 8 1/2 pushups and then took the ice with a fiery look in their eyes. That fiery look scared the shit out of the Potterians as the Brewers tallied the next 3 goals for the go-ahead-then-come-from-behind win. Hehas Noname sandwiched two goals, one of them an open netter with a minute to go, around a Chris Isaac goal to put Potter down and out for good.

END OF REGULATION: Potter 6, Brewers 8
