Tuck comes from behind to beat Brewers 4-2.

Game number one of the semi-finals had the #1 seeded Tuckerooskinis hosting the #4 seeded Brewers Hockey Club of Bridgewater, VT. The Tuckians, led by the offensive shenanigans of Scotty "Hanger" Turco (16-18-34 in 11 GP) are looking to continue their season dominance over the Brewers

Brewers 1-0, Bayley was working hard after beating Kennedy on the near boards. Took the puck behind the net to the far corner with a man draped all over him before firing the puck back down behind the net to an awaiting Isaac. Isaac quickly curled to the front of the net and dished a perfect backhander to Sean "The Goal Scorer" McCabe just at the top of the crease. McCabe let a quick release one-timer fire along the ice and inside the near post to give his team the 1-0 lead with 8:04 to go.

With 5:50 to go, Brent "Lurch" Adams had a horrific turnover as he threw a lame backhander from the far boards through the center of his zone, where Brian "Speed Racer" Fleming easily picked it off and went in on a breakaway. Good thing that giant ball of grizzle and fat, Petey Bartline, was back in the nets and threw his giant body down in the crease, which morphed into the exact shape of the net, closing off all holes. His new nickname is Petey "T-1000" Bartline (From the Movie Terminator 2).

The only other real action in the 1st was from a Mike Hickey penalty as he threw a nice little hipper to Tuck's Mantin in his own end, with 1:28 to go.

END OF THE FIRST: Tuck 0, Brewers 1
SAVES: Fitzgerald(Tuck) 4, Bartline(Brewers) 5

At 12:41 of the 2nd, a very interesting play occurred where Tuck's Mantin cut hard to the net from the far corner. Bartine made the first save, and what appeared to be an obvious goal when another Tuck player hammered home the rebound. To a much maligned Tuck squad, the goal was not called, and the play continued

Both goaltenders traded spectacular saves in the middle of the second as Fitzgerald robbed Bayley with a low glove save as he was leaning the other way, and Bartline stuffed a Petey Hanbury breakaway with 9:10 to go.

The Brew Crew went up 2-0 with just 1:51 to go in the second, as the FINALLY started to get some momentum going since being dominated by Tuck for the first 12 minutes of the period, and outshot 6-2. Kevin "Cro-Magnon" Calder fed Danny "Chubby Hubby" Charrette across the blue line. Charrette fired a shot / pass that was too hot to handle for Al "The Natural" Sorrentino. But the puck bounced right off of Sorrentino's stick and onto that of Bayley who pulled the puck around a defender and chipped it up over a downed Fitzgerald.

The goal resulted in one of the WORST hockey accidents I have every personally witnessed, as the Tuck netminder's stick splintered and

As the period came to a close, the Brewers looked gassed which resulted in a Tuck goal with just 15 seconds to go. Tuck had a 3 on 1 opportunity as Turco took a drop pass from Ryan "Burnin'" Burkhart, as Pace Ralli made a great move tot he front of the net, picking the Brewers lone defenseman. Turco, walked into the high slot and fired a wrister high glove to get his team back in the game.

END OF THE SECOND: Tuck 1, Brewers 2
SAVES: Fitzgerald(Tuck) 8, Bartline(Brewers) 11

Tuck tied the game up when Scotty Turco stripped Sean "Turnover" McCabe at the red line, took a defender wide and beat Bartline with a quick shot with 8:58 to go. Tuck was turning up the heat and absolutely starting to dominate as they outshot the Brewers early and often in the third. Tuck's conditioning and desire was starting to show through, as the Brewers were having trouble just getting the puck cleanly out of their zone.

Petey "Vanilla Ice" Hanbury gave Tuck the lead with just 5:54 on an end to end rush, as he beat two guys wide, made a nice cut back to the slot and beat Bartline mid-glove with a quick snapper.

The Brewers Mike "The Trike" Hickey called a timeout with 1:25 to go trying to give his team a rest and give them a lift with an emotional and logical pep talk, but with 31.6, Tuck's Scotty "Hanger" Turco found himself all alone at the opponents blue line and an empty net in front of him asking for that lonely bisquit to be backhanded into her gaping hole. Hmmmm, too dirty? NAHHHH. That was the icing on the cake. 4-2.
