Tuck bounces back with 10-7 barn burner

There wasn't much defense to be found as the newly improved Avalance faced off against the rebuilt Tuck. The Avs signed goalie Jim Beraldi who faced many uncontested chances early and often. Tuck goalie, Meg Becker halfed her goals against holding of a late surge to preseve the victory. I mention the goalies first because in a game with 17 goals scored they both played well. 11 different players shared in the scoring which started 2 minutes into the game as Brain Benoit scored from Henry Bouchard and Aaron Guyette. Newly aquired Dartmouth graduate Drew Crapser scored his first of the season at 10:55 from Matt Waterbury at 10:55 knotting the contest at 1-1. Less then a minute later Mark Hanrahan scored for Tuck from Crapser and Alex Tatum. The Avs tied it up again as Ed Sheehan hoisted a pass over a fallen Becker at 9:30 from Sean McCabe and Chris "CJ" Johnson. The Avs edged ahead with Henry Bouchard's first goal of the season from Mike Hickey. Tuck then when on a 20 minute 6 unanswered goal tear. Waterbury, Gary Hunter, Crapser, and John each scored during the onslaught. Tuck had stretched their lead to 8-3, until Sean Hochreiter scored for the Avalanche, with assists from Sheehan and CJ. Bouchard cut the Tuck lead to 3 at 13:34. Woodstock High veteran Brian Racicot scored his second goal of the season at 13:03 from Fox. Mark Hanrahan put the icing on the cake at the 9:52 mark. The Avs made it respectable with goals from CJ and Hochreiter.
