Season 8, Jerseys, Rosters & Sponsors

It's never too early to start thinking about hockey, and with local rinks starting to open in 2 months, and the UVHL's opening night in less than 3 months, captains need to start thinking about some things:

1. Jerseys: If your team is planning on getting new jerseys, you should be ordering them now so that they are here by the start of the season.

2. Recruiting: As almost every team is losing some players, you should be thinking about filling those roster spots. Every year we have a couple of guys requesting to be put on a team, so we may work out some sort of "mock draft" for the new talent.

3. Sponsorships: run it by your boss, your business partner, your local tavern, your wife...anyone who will help subsidize the cost of your team's season. Now is the time to start thinking about it, so you can get patches or logos put on your jerseys to support your sponsor. All sponsors will get a link on UVHL.com as well.

4. Get in shape you fatties. I've seen some of you, and the offseason has NOT been kind. Go for a walk, stop after the 3rd piece of cake...you disgusting mess.
