Hot Rod Gamblers Look at 12-0-0 Record Against Whalers
The Gamblers have won both of their games agains the Whalers this season. The outcome of each game was drastically different. In October the Gamblers tallied 10 goals and let up 4 in an easy route, in November they stormed out to a 3-0 lead only to see the Whalers change their game plan and rally back to 3-2 in the third period. The G-Men managed to pull out a 5-2 win that was much closer than the score would lead you to believe.
The Whalers keep adding players to their roster like a true cocksman compiles STDs. Each player that joins their team makes them stronger, but in the end running three lines can sometimes hurt as your best players can't get into a groove.
INSIDE INFORMATION: A witness has reported that the Whaler's goaltender Kenny "Le Stache" Lallier was out of his skull good in his Sunday night pickup skate. Winning every game he played in and stonewalling his opposition. It is a historic FACT that if Lallier is good in his Sunday night skate, he SUCKS on Tuesday nights.
With that information it is easy to call this game in the Whalers favor by an 8 goal margin. The G-Men are too fast and smart and will route the Whalers early. Look for this to be another double digit scorefest with the MMA line leading the way.
MMA line tallies 20 points total...Gamblers win 11-3.
Gamblers Rout Whalers 9-4
Welcome to Rout-Town USA where the Gamblers have made a season out of blowing out their opponents. Tonight's victim was the youthful Whalers who started out strong but couldn't run with the Gamblers for more than 15 minutes.
The Whalers actually took a 2-1 lead after the first frame behind a pair of goals from Joe Gaudet including a Power Play goal with 4:41 to play in the period.
The second period was the Toppo "LaNast" LaCroix show. LaCroix single handedly tilted the ice back in favor for the Gamblers by scoring 3 of the next 4 goals and assisting on the other making this a 5-2 game in favor of the G-Men. Willy "Weeble" Meyer and Matty "The Milkman" Marrazzo both scored and assisted on each other's goals to close out the period and gave their team a dominant 7-2 lead.
The Whaler's Scotty "Sugar" Shaw put forth his best effort with a pair of goals in the second period and to cut the deficit to three goals. Meyer completed his hat trick with a pair of goals late in the game and to close out the scoring on this game.
Gamblers were too much for the Whalers after a strong start from the latter.
