After a rough offseason where the Tuckies graduated a good portion of their championship calibre hockey club, the Tuck HC was back at it, knocking down a weak Dead River squad 6-4. An anonymous source was quoted as saying "josh cherney, nate walsh, tyson seely.....top line in the UVie...at least the smartest one...watch out MMA line." After the performance the put on the other night, they were officially nicknamed the "Wicked Smaaaht Kid Line."

The WSKL put up 5 of the team's 6 goals and 9 of 12 total points on the night. Josh Cherney had a pair of goals in the 2nd plus two assists, while Nate Walsh scored the first goal of the UVHL season, added the eventual game winner in the 2nd period and chipped in 2 assists and 2 PIMs for a hell of a night. The other guy on that line, Seeley, had a goal and a GREAT attitude.

"It wasn't the prettiest hockey game I've ever seen, but it was a hockey game...yeah, there was a puck and two goalies...I think everyone had a stick...yeah, it was definitely a hockey game...there were refs." said another source who preferred to remain anonymous.

Tuck broke out with a quick 2-0 lead in the first, only to have Dead River bounce back with a pair of goals from Stuart Grande & Jason Loomis, both assisted from the ugliest man in the UVHL, Greg Hadley. Tuck got the next 3 goals, securing the win.

In the end, Tuck's defensive system shut down Dead River, keeping them to only 20 shots, while Dead River's Greg "First Period" Feiden saw 32 pieces of round vulcanized love rubber thrown his way.
